Time That Deepens the Work
A deliberately smaller practice — so there's room for longer visits, and the understanding deepens every time we meet.
Hour-long appointments allow me a deep understanding of your entire life.
Compare that to a 15-minute med check at an insurance-based clinic, and you can understand the benefits.
At my concierge practice we both have time to notice what’s changed and why, instead of renewing a prescription and moving on.
My clinic allows for significant flexibility. If you are going through a tough stretch, I can see you multiple times a week, or every day.
For folks with long-term, complex psychiatric presentations, that flexibility can be the difference between going in-patient, and staying at home.
I carry no-more than 100 patients at any time.
The standard insurance-based psychiatrist is expected to sees more-than 800!
By carrying a reduced patient load, I reserve the time and energy I need to provide empathetic care.
Out-of-Network, in Plain Numbers
Payment is due at the visit. You leave with a superbill.
$1,000 for the initial evaluation — a full hour. $750 for an hour-long follow-up with therapy and medication together. $500 for a medication visit. You didn't have to call to find out.
You pay at the visit. If your insurance company offer out-of-network benefits, we’ll provide you with a superbill — an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs. Most insurers take it through their member portal.
Many PPO plans reimburse 60–80% of the fee once the out-of-network deductible is met. HMO and EPO plans usually carry no out-of-network benefits.

A physician with the time to carry your whole story from one visit to the next.
I'm Dr. Kavin Fatehchand, MD, PhD. My doctoral research was in cancer immunology — years spent asking what actually drives a disease. I ask symptoms the same question: what's driving this, and why now? That kind of curiosity needs time — which is exactly what I built this practice to protect. Unhurried visits, and a less-is-more approach to prescribing, where we understand the drivers before adding anything.
I'm a queer, South Asian psychiatrist in New York, and I want you to know exactly who is sitting across from you. Representation is the first step — never an assumption about your story. Because you are more than a diagnosis.
